An Independent Way to Search and Book Rail Travel
BestTripsNow.com is an independent travel service. We help travelers look up published rail schedules, compare their options, and complete a booking with help from a real person. We do not operate trains.
A Small Team Doing One Thing Properly
BestTripsNow.com is a trading name of Billing Desk LLC, a limited liability company registered in the United States, with its principal place of business at 1309 Coffeen Ave, Ste 1200, Sheridan, WY 82801.
The site exists to take the guesswork out of planning a rail journey. Instead of moving between timetables, fare pages, and station listings, a traveler can search once, see the carrier's published departures side by side, and decide from there.
When someone wants help finishing the booking, our reservations team takes it from there by phone — checking live fare and seat availability with the operating carrier and quoting the full cost before anything is charged. We would rather confirm a real number with you than publish an estimate that does not hold.
We are independently owned. No rail carrier owns, controls, or directs this business.
Exactly What We Do — and What We Don't
So there is no ambiguity about what you are buying and from whom.
What we do
- Show published rail schedules — train names, numbers, and times — taken from the operating carrier's own public timetable feed.
- Let you compare departure times, journey duration, and routing across the services running on your date.
- Assist with booking by phone, after confirming the fare and seat availability with the operating carrier.
- Quote the full amount payable, itemized, before you authorize any payment.
- Help with questions, changes, cancellations, and refund requests under our published Refund & Cancellation Policy.
What we don't do
- Operate trains, set timetables, control seat availability, or decide fares — all of that belongs to the carrier.
- Represent ourselves as Amtrak, any other carrier, or any government body.
- Display invented, sample, or "estimated" fares. If a price has not been confirmed with the carrier, we do not show one.
- Guarantee the lowest price, a specific seat, or on-time arrival. Those are not ours to promise.
- Charge anything for searching, comparing, or browsing this website.
- Add insurance, extras, or recurring charges to a booking without your explicit consent.
To be completely clear: we are not a rail carrier
BestTripsNow.com is an independent travel search and booking-assistance service. We are not Amtrak. We do not operate, own, or manage any train, station, or rail service, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting as an agent of Amtrak or any other rail carrier.
We are also not a government agency and this is not an official government or carrier ticketing website. Carrier names, train names, route names, and logos that appear on this site are the property of their respective owners and are used only to describe the services a traveler can search for and book.
You can always book directly with the operating carrier on the carrier's own website or at a station ticket office, usually at the same fare. Using our service is optional, and we tell you what it costs before you pay anything.

What You Pay, and How We Earn
You should never be surprised by a line on your statement. Here is the whole picture.
- Searching this site is free. There is no charge to look up a route, compare schedules, or call us with a question.
- The fare is the carrier's fare. We do not mark up, alter, or inflate the price the operating carrier charges for the ticket.
- An assisted-booking service fee of $10 to $100, depending on the complexity of the itinerary, may apply when our team completes a reservation on your behalf. Where it applies, the exact amount is quoted as a separate, clearly labeled line item, in full, before you authorize payment — never added afterwards and never bundled into the fare.
- We may earn a commission from a carrier or booking partner on completed bookings. That commission is paid to us out of the transaction and does not increase what you pay.
- Nothing recurring, nothing automatic. We do not enroll you in subscriptions, memberships, or trial programs, and we do not add travel insurance or extras unless you ask for them.
- One booking, one authorized charge. No amount is charged without a booking you approved. If you ever see a charge you do not recognize, contact us first and we will investigate and resolve it — see Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Where Our Information Comes From
- Schedules. Train names, numbers, and times are drawn from the operating carrier's own published timetable feed, served through a public transit data API. They are real carrier data, not samples — and, like any timetable, they are subject to change by the carrier.
- Fares and availability. Confirmed with the operating carrier at the time of booking. Rail pricing moves with demand, so a fare is not fixed until the ticket is issued.
- Stations and routes. Based on carrier-published station and route information.
- Train status. Live running information originates with the carrier. Delays, platform changes, and cancellations are the carrier's to declare, and we pass them through as received.
- Photography. Licensed stock imagery from Unsplash, used for illustration only. Images do not depict a specific train, carriage, class of service, or station.
We make reasonable efforts to keep everything on this site accurate and current. Where we cannot verify something, we would rather leave it out than guess. Full terms are set out in our Terms & Conditions.
What Guides Our Platform
Transparency
The carrier's fare stays the carrier's fare. Any service fee is named, itemized, and agreed by you before a payment is taken.
Reachability
A real address, a working phone line, and a monitored inbox on every page. Email enquiries are answered within 1–2 business days.
Accuracy
Schedule and fare information comes from the operating carrier. We publish what we can verify and clearly label what is subject to change.

If Something Goes Wrong
Most questions are settled on the first call. If you need to raise a concern or make a formal complaint, here is the path:
- Contact us by phone, by email, or through the contact form, with your booking reference, travel date, and route.
- We acknowledge every complaint within 1–2 business days and tell you who is handling it.

If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us before raising a dispute with your bank — in almost every case we can trace and correct it faster than a chargeback can.
We ask only for the information needed to complete and support your booking. How that information is stored, used, and deleted is set out in our Privacy Policy. Your rights and ours are set out in our Terms & Conditions, and we are committed to keeping this site usable for everyone — see our Accessibility Statement.
Common Questions About This Company
No. BestTripsNow.com is an independent travel service with no affiliation to Amtrak or any other rail carrier, and no affiliation with any government agency. We help you search carrier-published schedules and, if you want, assist with the booking. Amtrak's own website remains available to you at all times.
Searching and comparing on this site is always free. Where our team completes a reservation for you, an assisted-booking service fee of $10 to $100, depending on the complexity of the itinerary, may apply — and if it does, we state the exact amount as a separate line item and get your agreement before any payment is taken. We never add a fee after the fact.
Rail fares and seat availability move constantly with demand. Rather than publish an estimate that may not survive to checkout, we confirm the live fare with the operating carrier and quote you a real, complete number. Schedules, which do not change minute to minute, are shown on the site directly.
Yes, always, and often at the same fare. Booking through the carrier's own website or a station ticket office is a perfectly good option. People use us when they would rather have the comparison done for them and a person on the phone to sort out the details.
Our business address is 1309 Coffeen Ave, Ste 1200, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. You can call +1 (888) 413-4712, email tickets@besttripsnow.com, or use the contact form. Full details are in the business details table above.
Contact us with your booking reference and we will handle it with the carrier. What you are entitled to depends on the fare type you bought and how far ahead of departure you cancel — the full terms are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, and they are disclosed to you before you pay.
